job-xray v0.1.2

Install

Until store listings exist, install from the GitHub Release. Steps for each engine are below.

Note. Chrome may disable unpacked extensions after a browser update. If badges disappear, turn the extension back on at chrome://extensions. Store links will replace this flow once listings are live.

Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave, Vivaldi, Yandex Browser

  1. Download job-xray-chromium.zip — the latest stable Chromium build.
  2. Unzip the archive. You need the folder that contains manifest.json.
  3. Open the extensions page: chrome://extensions, edge://extensions, opera://extensions, brave://extensions, vivaldi://extensions, or browser://extensions in Yandex Browser.
  4. Enable Developer mode.
  5. Click “Load unpacked” and select that folder.
  6. Open hh.ru — job-xray badges appear on search and vacancy pages.

Firefox 140+

  1. Download job-xray-firefox.xpi.
  2. If Firefox offers to install the add-on, confirm.
  3. If the file is blocked as unsigned, open about:debugging → This Firefox → Load Temporary Add-on and pick the .xpi or manifest.json.
  4. A temporary add-on is removed when Firefox restarts — that is a Firefox rule for unsigned add-ons, not job-xray.
  5. Open hh.ru and check the badges.

Verify the file

Releases also ship SHA256SUMS. Compare the SHA-256 of the archive if you downloaded it on an untrusted network.

Build from source

Repository: https://github.com/tommyknocker/job-xray. npm run build writes dist/chromium and dist/firefox. For Chromium development you can load the extension/ folder unpacked.
